Dr. Novin is an energetic, passionate and dynamic dentist. He came to Canada with his family in 2013 and was amongst the only 5% of 2000 internationally trained dentists who participate in the Canadian dental equivalency exams to get certified in less than a year. Dr. Novin enjoys all aspects of dentistry with a keen interest in preventive dentistry, educating patients, wisdom teeth surgeries, gum and bone reconstruction and restoring patients missing or diseased teeth using cutting edge dental implants.

He strongly believes in life-long learning and education and has taken over 500 hours of advanced training in different aspects of dentistry including implant dentistry, bone grafting, wisdom teeth extractions, sedation and pediatric dentistry. He is specially trained to work with patients under anesthesia and sedation and has Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications. He loves helping patients and the community of Stouffville through education and prevention and oversees the operations of an outreach community clinic he setup early in his career that has provided free dentistry to over 4000 patients.

Dr. Novin is an amazing communicator owing to his diverse background – he has spent over 10 years of his life in Iran (where he was born) and another 10 years in India (where his mother is from). He is fluent and proficient in English, Persian, Hindi and Marathi. He visited Stouffville for the first time in February 2015 (on valentine’s day) and fell in love with the city and its people. He is a Stouffville local but has worked as an associate dentist since 2015 in Stouffville, Vaughan, Mississauga, Sudbury, Markham and Newmarket.

He has tremendous experience (as of 2020) having placed and restored 100’s of dental implants, completed over a 100 grafting procedures, performed over 250 root canals, extracted over 1100 wisdom teeth and successfully treated 767 patients from ages of 2 to 89 years old under sedation!

He is an active member of the Ontario Dental Association (ODA), Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), Iranian Ontario Dental Association (IODA), International Team for Implantology (ITI), Spear Education Study Club and several other study clubs.

Besides dentistry, he has a strong interest in computers (has designed and developed our website), graphics design, programming, writing, playing tennis and soccer.

Dr. Ramesh graduated in Gujarat, India in 2007 and did 3 years of specialized education in the field of Orthodontics. He has been practicing fixed and removable orthodontics including Invisalign since 2011 and has created over 3000 happy smiles and counting. He earns his patient’s trust, on his commitment to practice with honesty, integrity and consistency.

He is most well known by patient centric approach and innovative ideas when needed for patients’ comfort. He is incredibly well-versed in preventative, interceptive, and corrective orthodontics. Dr. Ramesh is also very interested in technology and integrating it into his practice.

Dr. Ramesh says ““Brace yourself and enjoy the ride. I would say that it’s a beautiful journey rather than a long treatment.” He understands that orthodontic treatment is a life changing decision, a patient must not only select an excellent doctor, but an office with a quality staff as well.

Dr. Ramesh offers a wide variety of contemporary orthodontic braces to suit every income and lifestyle including: Invisalign. Invisalign Teen, Metal braces, ceramic braces, myofunctional appliances, expanders, habit breaking appliances and Mini Dental Implants (TADs) to aid in movement of teeth.

In addition to his busy schedule, he also enjoys teaching foreign trained dentists and helping them pursue their dream of practicing dentistry in Canada. In his free time, he loves to spend time with family and friends. He enjoys reading books, exploring natural scenic beauty and long drives.

Fernando received his license to practice denturism in Ontario in 1993. He has since developed very strong relationships with patients and dentists in the area to provide their patients with cutting edge dentures. He loves working and more importantly enjoys building lasting relationships with his patients.

Fernando has a strong passion for fabricating long lasting dentures of the highest quality. He has taken several continuing education courses and is a part of several study clubs to ensure the highest standard of care. He is passionate about using cutting edge implants to help patients enjoy their dentures.

Although his passion for denture care is strong he also loves spending time with his family, traveling and enjoying the outdoors. Fernando also frequently enjoys cycling.

Gisel enjoys being a part of this professional dental team that provides exceptional care. She was born in Colombia where she studied Speech Pathology. After marriage, she moved to Florida and then to Canada.

Gisel is a friendly and energetic person who loves working closely with patients, she always finds ways to give them a great experience and help them build that confidence to share their smile. She is passionate about helping patients understand treatment and since being a part of Stouffville Smiles Dentistry has helped a staggering number of patients overcome their financial and fears to accept necessary treatment.

Gisel loves helping patients and is always happy to answer your questions, plan appointments and help resolve any issues, while making your visit positive!

In her spare time, Gisel loves spending time with her family and also enjoys being a soccer mom.

She joined the Stouffville Smiles team in 2019. She has been working as a treatment coordinator since and loves to provide excellent care to patients. She has a passion for helping patients with their financial decisions and investments towards a healthier mouth. She strives to provide the best experience possible from the first day you walk in. Ilona looks at each day as an opportunity to learn something new and exciting. She loves how dentistry can grow confidence.

Dr. Saber went to high school in Richmond Hill and graduated in dentistry from the renowned Victor Babes Dental University in Timisoara, Romania. She is of Romanian and Persian background and is fluent in Romanian, conversant in Spanish and is quickly learning Persian. The first thing people notice about her is her warmth and kindness.

Dr. Saber is passionate about minimally invasive dentistry, preventive dentistry and straightening and aligning teeth with clear aligners and Invisalign ^(TM). She invests a lot of her time doing continuing education courses and regularly updates her knowledge and skill. She has worked as an associate in downtown Toronto, Brampton, Aurora, Coldwater, Scarborough and Woodbridge and brings her extensive knowledge to Stouffville Smiles.

Dr. Saber is an active member of the Ontario Dental Association (ODA), Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), International Team for Implantology (ITI) and Spear Education. She is an Invisalign preferred and certified Silver Provider.

She spends a lot of time reading, is a regular at the gym, loves travelling and getting to know different cultures. She recently became a mother and is enjoying every bit of her precious one.

Dr. Tracy Liu was raised in Windsor, Ontario before graduating from the University of Toronto as a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2018. She has been with us since 2019.

Dr. Tracy became interested in dentistry because of the artistry and detail involved in repairing a smile. She enjoys bringing comfort and ease to what can feel like a stressful appointment to many. She strives for excellence in her treatment, with the goal of providing the best possible outcome in a caring environment.

In her spare time, Dr. Tracy enjoys baking cupcakes, trying new recipes, and travelling to a sunny destination.

Dr. Mary was raised in Markham and obtained her Honours Bachelor of Science (H.Sc) degree from the University of Toronto. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from New York University where she graduated top of her class and was awarded the Dr. Bernard Ruder Award for demonstrating superior performance in comprehensive care. She completed her General Practice Residency and a second year as chief at NYU Langone Brooklyn where she gained extensive training in all areas of dentistry.

Dr. Mary works hard to foster a comfortable dental environment where the patient is educated about their oral health and the dental procedures being provided. Dr. Mary’s goal is to help you achieve a beautiful, healthy smile. She looks forward to providing a pleasant experience and results you are proud to show off.

Dr. Laura spent her childhood in the GTA. She attended Thornhill Secondary School where she graduated with the highest average. Then, she studied medical sciences at Western University for three years and got accepted early into dental school. In 2016, she studied at University of Toronto for four years to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery with Honours. After graduating dental school, she completed a one year residency in advanced general dentistry at Temple University in Philadelphia.

Dr. Laura’s favorite part of dentistry is making people smile. Whether it’s fixing teeth, replacing missing teeth, or giving a child a balloon animal, seeing her patient’s face light up is the best part of her day. She is a life-long learner, and enjoys studying new aspects of dentistry during her free time.

Outside of dentistry, she likes going for walks and hikes, working out at the gym, trying new recipes, and painting. When she gets the chance to travel, she loves to explore nature and go snorkelling and scuba diving. She enjoys taking photos and videos of nature and ocean life, and turning them into montages or paintings.

Dr. Doris spent her childhood in Markham. After her graduation from high school, she spread her wings to earn her Bachelor of Science degree from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. She then moved to the United States for four years to complete her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Doris’ favourite part of dentistry is helping people improve their quality of life. Whether it’s relieving pain from a toothache, restoring confidence with a better smile, or making dental care less of a mystery through oral health education, her goal is to make every appointment a long-lasting, positive experience. She loves learning and regularly updates her knowledge of dentistry to provide a better experience for her patients. In her free time, Dr. Doris enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and two dogs. She also loves playing the piano, drawing, writing, and reading. She wrote a fantasy novel during her high school years and hopes to start another soon.

Dr. Nadia was born and raised in Iran. In 2015, she immigrated to Toronto, Canada with her family. She received a Bachelor of Science with honours in the program of Kinesiology from York University. During her undergraduate studies, she received multiple scholarships due to her high academic standing. Following this, she moved to Halifax in the province of Nova Scotia to pursue her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Dalhousie University.

Dr. Nadia has been a lifelong learner and believed completion of dental school is not the end of her career goal. Her passion in dentistry in fact motivated her to accomplish a one-year program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at NYU Langone Hospital in New York, United States. During her residency program, she received advanced training in restoratives, endodontics, oral surgery, prosthodontics, and cosmetic dentistry.

Dr. Nadia enjoys meeting new people everyday at work and is keen on building long-lasting relationships with her patients. She truly cares about helping people and has been eager to play a positive role in improving dental health among the public. She is a good listener and patients’ concerns have always been her top priority.

Currently, Dr. Nadia is a member of the Ontario Dental Association and Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario.

In her leisure time, Dr. Nadia loves to bake, play piano, and go shopping. She also loves to try different sports and has recently fallen in love with skiing.

Restorative Hygienist

Shirley completed an Honours Bachelor of Science (H.BSc) degree from McMaster University before studying and graduating at the top of her class in Dental Hygiene at George Brown College. She has also recently completed her advanced certificate in Restorative Hygiene and works alongside our dentists to provide restorative treatment to patients.

She is kind hearted, has a gentle but thorough touch, and loves helping patients reach their optimal oral health through education and prevention. Shirley also participated in a dental outreach program abroad in Jamaica with Nine Miles of Smiles (NMS) to increase access to dental care and education in marginalized communities.

Currently, Shirley is an active member of the Canadian Dental Hygienists Association (CDHA) and Ontario Dental Hygienists Association (ODHA). She regularly updates her knowledge and skill through continuing education, ensuring patients receive the best possible care. Shirley speaks some Cantonese and understands Mandarin!

Outside of the office, Shirley is an adrenaline junkie, loves to travel and loves being outdoors. She’s been on the CN Tower Edgewalk, skydiving and scuba diving. You will also find her at the gym, dragonboating, cycling and playing softball.

Sasika completed an Honours Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Toronto in 2009, followed by a diploma in Dental hygiene with honours at Durham College in 2011. She joined our team in 2019.

Sasika is an active member of the Canadian Dental Hygienists’ Association (CDHA) and CDHO. She stays up to date with current practices by completing continuing education courses on a regular basis. She’s passionate about educating and helping to improve her patients’ oral health, thereby contributing to their overall health. She is patient and gentle, ensuring patients feel comfortable under her care. She is bilingual and is able to communicate in both English and Tamil.

Outside of the office, she enjoys traveling and experiencing new cultures and cuisines. She spends most weekends visiting family in Markham, spending time with friends, and walking trails with her husband and her American bulldog Nicky. She also enjoys attending concerts and sporting events.

Natalya has worked in the field of dentistry since 1996 and with us since 2019. She received her Bachelor of Dental Science in 1996 with Honours in Periodontology and Orthodontics. In 2008 she graduated from Oxford College with a diploma in Dental Hygiene with Honours.

Natalya is passionate about advancing her expertise in dentistry to bring excellence and care to her patients. She is an active member of the Dental Study Club, CDHO and CDHA.

Natalya is well known for treating clients with dental anxieties and fear towards dental treatment. With her warm smile and gentle hands, she creates a comfortable and rewarding dental experience. She can turn around those who shy away from a dental visit to looking forward to coming back. She enjoys getting to know her clients individually to provide high quality dental care to their needs.

When Natalya is away form the office, she enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, being active and being social with her friends and family.

Natiya was born in Georgia and moved to Canada in 2017. Previously Natiya worked as Dental assistant level 2 and always wanted to pursue carrier in dental hygiene. She grew up in a family of healthcare workers: her father was a dentist and mother was obstetrician.

Natiya creates at each appointment positive and comfortable environment for every single patient and provides individualized care for adults and kids.

Natiya is fluent in Russian, Hebrew, Georgian.

In her free time she loves spending time with her family and friends, reading historical books and science journals, watching fashion shows, learning new languages and travelling.

Kiara has recently joined the dental industry and She really enjoys being apart of it. Kiara hopes that one day she will work her way to becoming a dental hygienist. Kiara has joined dentistry because she has always wanted to be apart of the amazing industry it is.

When Kiara isn’t working, She loves spending time on the ice playing hockey as well as spending time with her family and friends. Hockey has been a very big part of Kiara’s life since she was a little girl , Kiara has played competitive hockey for 16 years and has finally taken a step down to focus more on her future in dental.

Monique was born in China and has been living in Canada for 15 years. She graduated from Oxford College as a dental assistant Level I and II in 2021, and in addition to that I also hold a BA degree of Administrative Studies from York University and a diploma of Business Accounting from Centennial College.

Monique chose dentistry because she always wanted to enter the field of healthcare and dental assisting piqued her interest. She is always willing to learn and hopes to become a versatile assistant. She loves to see everyone show a big healthy smile.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time gardening, baking and watching movies. She is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese.

Ciana is a Stouffville local and recently graduated form Durham College as a dental assistant Level I and II. Ciana chose dental because she was fascinated by the science and loves helping others.

Ciana will be attending Durham College for Dental Hygiene in the summer to continue learning more about dental.

Mala graduated from Oxford college as a dental assistant Level I and II in 2019. Mala was in a lot of different career paths until she got into the dentistry field and discovered she enjoyed doing this the most!

She has over 5+ years of experience working in dentistry and aims to learn more and continue doing what she does best.

Mala provides a warm,fun and caring environment to those around her, as she enjoys learning and thrives to make patients feel welcomed.

In her free time, Mala enjoys gardening, and cooking. She loves to try out new recipes for her friends and family.

Deepika is currently in her final year at University of Toronto and is expected to graduate by 2024, She is currently majoring in Biochemistry with an honours bachelor degree in science. She is interested in pursuing dentistry and will be applying to dental school soon to continue her studies.

Deepika has always enjoyed helping others, hence the reason she knew a field like dentistry was the right choice as she gets to help patients and make a genuine connection by doing so!

When Deepika is not working, she loves baking and has a small home based cake business that she does to keep her creativity flowing. She also enjoys dancing, and spending time with family and friends.
